Founded in 1951 by local musician Roy Coran, the Roy Coran Big Band brings the timeless sounds of big band jazz to Thunder Bay. Comprising of 20 of the region’s finest professional musicians and vocalists, the band performs concerts, educational programs, and community events, preserving the legacy of Big Band tradition alive for future generations.
