Darlene Chepil Reid is a life-long resident of Thunder Bay. She has an AMus (Conservatory Canada) in Piano Pedagogy, an HBMus in Trombone, MMus (Western) and DMus (Alberta) in Composition and Theory. She has performed professionally with the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra, the London Jazz Orchestra, Good News Jazz Band and the Roy Coran Band on piano, trombone and/or tuba and continues to perform professionally in The Roy Coran Big Band on trombone and tuba. Her contributions to the Thunder Bay music scene include teaching part-time as a Continuing Contract Lecturer at Lakehead University, performing in Thunder Brass Quintet, the Rolling Tones women’s barbershop quartet and as conductor of the Fort William Male Choir. Darlene currently serves as a member of the Executive Committee for the Roy Coran Big Band.
