Joe Petch, a trumpet player, piano player and an active member of the Thunder Bay music scene, has an Honours Bachelor of Arts (Music) and a Bachelor of Education from Lakehead University. Joe also works as a music teacher with Lakehead Public Schools. Joe has played in many groups including the Thunder Bay Community Band, Thunder Bay Symphony Youth Orchestra, The Pipes and Drums of Thunder Bay (where he serves in the role of Drum Sergeant), The Roy Coran Big Band (section member and Assistant Director), and as the leader of his own group, The Joe Petch Quartet. Joe has also performed on a number of albums and has played with such acts as the Thunder Bay Symphony Orchestra, Daylin James, Gino Vannelli, and Johnny Reid. Joe currently serves in the role of Production Manager for the Roy Coran Big Band.
