Mike started playing Saxophone at the age of 12 when he was accepted into the reach ahead program at St Ignatius High School. Mike was then accepted into Lakehead University where he was awarded an Honours Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education. While in University, he worked with many different musical projects and bands and has begun to focus on Jazz, Funk and Blues styles. To date, Mike regularly performs with The Thirsty Monks, a local fun-rock band in Thunder Bay.
